HP TET Eligibility Criteria: Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board conducts Himachal Pradeesh Teacher Eligibility Test’s  (HP TET) eligibility details are given below…
Minimum eligibility conditions for the Teacher Eligibility Test ( TET):
I. Age:- There is no upper age limit to apply for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET).
II. Educational Qualification:
1. For Trained Graduate Teachers (Arts):
a. B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
OR
b. B.A./B.Com. with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
c. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
d. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.A.Ed.
OR
e. B.A./B.Com. with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education.
2. For Trained Graduate Teachers (Non-Medical):
a. B.Sc.(NM) with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
OR
b. B.Sc. (NM) with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
c. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
d. Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.Sc. (NM)/Ed
OR
e. B.Sc.(NM) with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education.
3. For Trained Graduate Teachers (Medical):
a. B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed)
OR
b. B.Sc. (Medical) with at least 45% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) in accordance with NCTE (Recognition norms and Procedure) regulations issued from time to time in this regard.
OR
c. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.)
OR
d. Senior Secondary ( or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year B.Sc. (Medical)/Ed
OR
e. B.Sc.(Medical) with at least 50% marks and 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed.) Special Education.
4. For Shastri:
Shastri with 50% marks from an institution/University recognized by H.P. Government.
5. For Language Teacher:
BA with Hindi as an elective subject from a recognized University with 50% marks in Hindi or its equivalent.
OR
The candidates who have passed Prabhakar (Honours in Hindi) followed by BA Examination in English and one additional subject may be treated as equivalent to BA with Hindi for appointment to the post of Language Teacher provided the candidates have secured 50% marks in Prabhakar examination.
OR
M.A. (Hindi) with 50% marks from a recognized University.
Relaxations in minimum eligibility:-Relaxation upto 5% in the minimum eligibility criteria of marks shall be allowed to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes & Physically handicapped candidates.
Candidates appearing in final professional examination can also apply but they shall have to full-fill minimum eligibility conditions on the date of TET examination falling which they will not be allowed to take the test. Minimum qualifying marks:- The minimum qualifying marks in Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) is 60%.

I. Structure of the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT):

Standard of TET The test items on child psychology, development, pedagogy and
teaching learning processes will focus on educational psychologyof teaching and learning relevant to the age group 11 to 14 years.
They will focus on understanding the characteristics needs and
psychology of diverse learners, interaction with learners and the
attributes and qualities of good facilitator of learning.
The questions in the other sections will be based on the topics of
the prescribed syllabus of the State for classes VI to VIII, but their
ability standard as well as linkages could be up-to 10+2 level of
HP Board of School Education.
II. Structure of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) for Shastri:

Hall Ticket will be available on the official portal website www.hpbose.org. Applicant searching for HP TET Admit Card 2014 after the due date will not get the admit card.

HP TET 2014 Himachal Pradesh TET

  • Himachal Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Board (HPSSSB) will conduct Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2014 also known as Himachal Pradesh TET, as per the formalities laid down by the central regulating authorities. Himachal Pradesh TET is for the candidates aspiring to become teachers in primary (class I -V) and upper primary (VI-VIII) schools in the state of Himachal Pradesh.
  • HP TET 2014 notification will be released by the Department of School Education, Himachal Pradesh OR concerned examination board as directed by the Government of Himachal Pradesh. TET is a compulsory examination for all the B.Ed. qualified candidates to be considered for teacher jobs in schools run by the government and private managements. Candidates may be facilitated to apply online for this examination. Here are the details of the HP TET notification, syllabus, question pattern, eligibility details.

Eligibility and Qualifications for Himachal Pradesh TET:

Candidates should have following qualifications as prescribed by the NCTE. The State governments may change the qualifications and eligibility requirements as per the GOs issued by them.
  1. Himachal Pradesh TET (HP TET) Qualification Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I) 2014:
    Candidates should have passed in Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45 percent marks. Those appearing in final 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education / 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) / 2 – year Diploma in Education in Special Education are also eligible. OR Candidates with BA / B.Sc. with at least 50 percent marks and B.Ed qualification can also apply.
  2. Himachal Pradesh TET (HP TET) Qualification Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper II) 2014 : Applicants having B.A. / B.Sc and those appearing in final 2 year D.Ed. / B.A. /B.Sc. with at least 45 percent marks and passed / appearing in B.Ed / Senior Secondary with at least 50 percent marks and passed or appearing in final 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) / 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed. or B.A. (Ed.)/B.Sc. (Ed.) / B.Ed. (Special Education) with 50 percent in BA or B.Sc are eligible for HP TET.

HP TET 2014 Exam pattern, Syllabus and Scheme:

HP TET Syllabus consists of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries 1 marks totaling for 150 marks. Following are the details of question papers :
  1. Paper I Syllabus: To become teachers for classes I-V in Himachal Pradesh primary school.
  2. Paper II Syllabus: To become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in Himachal Pradesh upper primary school.
  3. Paper I and II: For those candidates who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.

HP TET or Himachal Pradesh TET Results 2014 / Qualification Marks

  • More than 5 lakhs students of Himachal Pradesh are waiting for the results, An HP TET candidate who scores 60% or more in Himachal Pradesh TET  exam 2014 the exam will be considered as HP TET pass.
·Himachal Pradesh Govt May consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy of Himachal Pradesh Teachers Eligibility Test (HP TET) 2014;
  • · HP TET Should give weightage to the  Himachal Pradesh TET scores in the recruitment process; however, qualifying the HP TET candidates would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria
    for appointment.

  • All HP TET candidates can Download Admit Card OR Hall Ticket from Himachal Pradesh TET Exam Official website before exam date now. Exam is scheduled on 14th December 2014 instead of 13th December.
